About the Katy Trail B&B

Innkeepers

Susan McClintic & Shade Morris

Shade and Susan bought the Katy Trail B&B in September of 2019 and have been busy learning and doing ever since.

Rocheport has been their home for over three decades— they were married here and have a home just up the hill. And part of their life-plan was to host a charming B&B together. They are proud to be current stewards of the historic yellow house on the B&B property and are happy to be able to share a part of Rocheport history with guests.

Shade is retired from outside sales with Glazer Midwest and Susan is a retired educator from Columbia Public Schools. They both graduated from Mizzou, with Susan’s undergrad at Lincoln University.

They are the proud grandparents of have four grown grandkids and can be found biking the trail often and hiking in nature with their wild Labrador, Tire— their “re-Tire-ment” dog.

They love all things Rocheport. Being outside, the river, the bluffs and enjoying the best of Missouri in every season.
